Rag & Bone DIY Project

When I saw this editorial campaign, my heart skipped a beat. The concept is simple, you have one model, Rag & Bone clothes, no make up and they use their own camera to take the photos for the next advertising campaign.

The outcome, is stunning. Despite the girls in question being top models who are internationally known for their looks, the images are realistic and inspiring. You are offered a sneaky glimpse into their lives and for once, you have an advert that screams honesty.

These are a few of my favourites:

Fashion DIY: Handmade Beach Bag

Everyone needs a beach bag for the beach, so why not make your own beach bag?? This bag I made is so simple but is super useful and really easy to make. All you need is two rectangular pieces of fabric to make the two sides, a small rectangle to make the base and two long strips of fabric to make the straps, plus any embellishment you would like. I have reworked the nautical theme and instead of using blue, used my favourite colour, pink!!! I look forward to seeing your creations!!!

DIY Kaftan

It is essential,if you ever visit St Tropez, that you wear white. This is why I have added a fashion DIY so that you can make your own white kaftan to wear to the beach or to one of the fashionable beach clubs such as Le Club 55.Also as you have designed it yourself, you will not have to worry about anyone else wearing the same piece of clothing as you.

To make this kaftan, you will need:
50cm Fusible Interfacing
2m White lightweight cotton
Sharp fabric scissors
any decoration you may want e.g: beads, mirror beads, sequins
white thread
tailors chalk
pins
Butterick B4684 Pattern (this design is design E)
